ABOUT ME
Carly Bagust Speech Pathology
I’m Carly Bagust, a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families. My background includes working as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping families facing complex and often vulnerable situations. This experience has shaped the way I practice today—always focused on building trust, meeting families where they are, and empowering children to reach their communication goals.
Over the years, I’ve worked closely with teachers, early childhood educators, occupational therapists, psychologists, paediatricians, and support workers to create collaborative support for children. I’ve provided consultation in mainstream classrooms, preschools, and specialist settings, always tailoring strategies to help each child shine in their own way.

My journey
Carly Bagust Speech Pathology began in 2020 and was shaped by over a decade of working alongside children and families with unique and complex needs. Before that, I was part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team—each of us committed to helping children find their voice, even in the face of big challenges. Through shared progress, quiet breakthroughs, and the strength of resilient families, I deepened not only my clinical skills but also my understanding of what truly supports a child’s growth.
Now, from Mooloolaba to Buderim and beyond, my mission remains to offer a thoughtful blend of expertise, empathy, and genuine care in every home, school, or early learning center I visit. It’s a privilege to walk alongside families as they build brighter, more confident communication futures.

My passion lies in supporting children to navigate their challenges.
I have a particular interest in supporting children with speech sound disorders, language difficulties, literacy challenges, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech, and those using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). I also have experience working alongside families navigating sensory needs, autism, trauma, attachment, and behaviour support.
I offer a mobile service across Mooloolaba and surrounding areas, providing assessments, therapy, and free preschool screenings. Therapy happens where your child feels most at ease—at home, preschool, or school.
My practice is informed by a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics©, Marte Meo, Circle of Security, and the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).
I’m also trained in a variety of stuttering programs (Lidcombe, Oakville, Westmead), as well as language and literacy supports (Blades Language Therapy, Robust Vocabulary Instruction, Blanks Levels of Questions, and parent training), and speech sound programs (Nuffield, ReST).
